Biography
Professor Eggert has been a lawyer for four decades and practiced law for 24 years at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Arnold & Porter LLC in the areas of antitrust, class actions, products liability, general litigation and appeals. When he retired from Arnold & Porter in 2008, he moved to South Korea with his wife Lynne and their three children and taught at HILS for three years. Since 2012, Professor Eggert has taught at Washington and Lee Law School in Virginia. He is a member of the bars of Washington, D.C. (active) and the Commonwealth of Virginia (inactive.)

Professor Eggert has taught Antitrust/Global Competition Law, Civil Procedure, Torts, Property, Evidence, Private International Law/Conflict of Laws, Remedies, Complex Litigation, Pretrial Litigation, Oral Advocacy, Appellate Practice, Doing Justice, Legal Writing, and various Academic Success courses.

In addition to teaching classes, Professor Eggert has advised various student organizations (e.g., the Christian Legal Society and the Antitrust and Consumer Law Society), coached teams in numerous student competitions, participated in global entrepreneurship and other conferences in numerous countries, and has volunteered with religious and human rights organizations such as International Justice Mission, Justice Ventures International, NewBridges Immigrant Resource Center in Harrisonburg, and Young Life.

He lives with his wife Lynne in Harrisonburg, VA, where they attend Eastside Church.
