HILS has a faculty composed entirely of experienced, licensed legal professionals who bring their practical expertise directly into the classroom. They are dedicated to building meaningful relationships with students. Their doors are always open, whether to assist with challenging legal concepts, provide career advice, or simply engage in conversation.

A Distinctive Christian Law School

HILS is a Christian law school, meaning that our approach to teaching and learning law is centered on and guided by Christ. As Christ is sovereign, we are dedicated to helping students understand how their faith in Him influences their study and practice of law.

Lawyers without Borders

The law program is a full three-year program including six traditional semesters and three summer sessions. The satisfactory completion of 83 hours is required for the Juris Doctor degree, earned normally over a three full-year program.

Praising God for the Law

We believe worship, both personal and corporate, is an important aspect of our life here at HILS, and we encourage you to join with us as we begin and end the week acknowledging our Lord. The weekly schedule includes a law school morning chapel on Tuesdays and Fridays, which is normally led by HILS faculty. We invite all students to share in this community gathering of praise and worship.
