I. CORE CURRICULUM
The core curriculum for the Masters of Laws (J.D. equivalent) degree consists of all courses required for graduation for this degree. The precise scope of that core may be adjusted from time to time by the faculty.
The first year curriculum is required for all students and consists of courses normally found in ABA approved law schools. In addition, special attention is given to electives in the areas of business and commercial law, Korean and Asian law, human rights, law and development, intellectual property and technology, and legal philosophy and jurisprudence. Some of these courses are small group seminars, and are taught by visiting adjunct faculty during summer sessions, and as modular courses during the spring and fall. The Law School administration seeks to secure faculty for any appropriate course where sufficient students request the course. Elective courses are subject to the availability of instructors and registration requirements are set forth in the Student Handbook.
