After graduating from HILS in 2012, I worked as an in-house counsel for about five years. I then completed a master's degree in international dispute resolution in Switzerland and gained experience in the field of international arbitration at dispute specialized international law firms in Geneva and Hong Kong. I am currently working as a foreign attorney at Peter & Kim, a law firm specializing in international arbitration and litigation.
The three years at HILS were a time of challenge and grace for me. Initially, I was excited about the prospect of working in the global arena, but I also had doubts about studying law for the first time, and doing so in English. However, with the help and encouragement of my seniors, classmates, and professors, I was able to gradually adapt. These relationships have continued to this day, providing me with strong support and encouragement.
The training and knowledge in faith and law that I received at HILS has been a driving force throughout my years as a lawyer. In particularly, the stewardship spirit of doing everything wholeheartedly as if serving the Lord has driven me to strive for excellence even in situations where complacency or dissatisfaction could have prevailed. This has been an important catalyst for my growth as a legal professional.
Looking ahead, my goal is to further develop my expertise in international dispute resolution and to become a lawyer who has a positive impact on society. I also want to continue the valuable relationships I have made at HILS and build a network of mutual support and growth.
