HILS teams succeed in advocacy competitions
The HILS WTO/FTA (World Trade Organization/Free Trade Agreement) moot team took first place overall in the 2013 WTO/FTA Moot Court Competition held in Seoul on July 20. The team members were second year law students Jinhyuk Choi, Dabin Jung, Dong Hee Soh, Ji Eun (Erin) Son, and Beka Tesgera. The team also was honored with awards for “best overall submission” and “best submission – complainant,” and Dong Hee Soh was selected as “best orator” for the entire competition. The coach of the team was Professor John Shin.
The HILS International Negotiation Competition team took fourth places honors among 16 law schools from around the world at the International Negotiation Competition hosted by Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California. Team members included third year law student Julia Ji and second year law student Anna An. The team was coached by Attorney Suyoun Park.
The results achieved by both teams continue the fine tradition of excellence in oral and written international advocacy at Handong International Law School both in Korea and abroad.
