Two Handong International Law School (HILS) moot court teams have continued the Law School’s legacy of success at moot court competition here in Korea and abroad.
HILS sent a team to the Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot which was hosted by the City University of Hong Kong in March of 2013. The HILS team made up to the semi-final round of the Asian Division of the competition. Of special note, HILS was the only law school from a non-English speaking country represented in the semi-final round. The team members included Eunjung Cho, Julia Eunjin Ji, InAe Park, Miran Yang, and Hannah Youh and were coached by Professor Ed Purnell.
In February of 2013, HILS also sent a team to the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, Korean National Round in Seoul where they received the award for the Best Respondent’s Memorial. The team members included Daniel Chong, Chanmin Jeon, Tae Min Kang, Eunhye Kim, and Chanwook Park and were coached by Professors John Shin and Hee Eun Lee.
